During the transaction aboard the eerily silent Virginia, the cadets unwittingly transport an unexpected cargo: a hive of hibernating aliens. Diane Carey churned out quite a nice, fresh and original novel. All the combined elements helped me to really become immersed in the novel itself and the narrative didn't bother me one bit. I'd recommend this to any Aliens fan and I eagerly await Diane Carey's next novel, Cauldron which from the sounds of it will return to that familiar.

They've been here for awhile, although Carey can't decide quite how long - for instance, she says that the aliens were discovered on the planet three years ago and that's when Jocasta's team was dispatched.
